Gypsy Robe

The Gypsy Robe tradition was started at Torrey Pines in 2004 by Lauren Kunin and Ben Halstead, the director and stage manager of The Winter's Tale.

For each show, the student director chooses a member of the ensemble [NOT a main charater or tech] they wish to honor with this award. The chosen cast member has shown considerable time and effort dedicated to the production, a positive encouraging attitude, a friendly face to new members of the theater, and an overall presence that contributed to the show's success.

Each winner is given the honor of making a patch for their show to attatch to the Gypsy Robe, which will then be passed on to the next winner.
