Future Plans:
Sharon is currently attending UCLA's School of
Theater, Film and Television to pursue a career in stage directing.
Her credits at UCLA include playing a courtesan in the production
of The Love Suicides at Sonezaki (directed by TPHS almuni, Brad
Golden). This play was written in the early 1700s by Monzaeman
Chikamatsu and was originally intended for bunraku Japanese theater,
which is a form of puppet theater. In this production, the actors
were the puppets and had puppet-like physicalities. Sharon also
was an assistant lighting designer for the UCLA music department's
Opera, La Finta Giardiniera. She has also joined a sorority (Alpha
Epsilon Phi) and is loving the social life she missed out on in
high school due to her devotion to her job and internship at the
North Coast Repertory Theatre.
